Why Charities
10% of the worlds adults own 85% of the worlds wealth. Considering most of these 10% live in western countries such as USA, UK, Europe and some Arabic countries, it raises the question ‘how much wealth do 3rd world countries such as Kenya, Ethiopia and the like own’? The answer is not much. And given their population densities are probably not far off many western countries, it’s no wonder many of these countries are struggling and their inhabitants starved of basic needs such as food and water. This is why charity organisations are set up in most countries, to help out those less fortunate than ourselves. Chances are, if you’re reading this now, you’re probably in a better lifestyle and finanical position than 70% of the worlds population. Charities need people like you to help out. Small donations by a large number of people go a long way.
